On May 24, 2017, at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, hundreds of students staged a protest against alleged racism among the staff and faculty. The protesters marched through campus chanting powerful slogans such as "Hey, Hey, Ho, Ho, these racist teachers got to go!" and "Black Power" and "No Justice, No Peace, Fuck the Evergreen Police!" The march culminated in a confrontation between the President of the college, George Bridges, and the student protesters.
